Okay, hi all. I just attended to AJ Mini Concert for his first new album, Red Roses. It cant be said new album, because the album was launched a year ago in 2011. If I am not wrong, on July 2011 (please tell me the right month if I am wrong). I was really excited about the concert. It was held @Hard Rock Cafe, 4pm sharp (but you know The Indonesian clock has many different times). Attending there of course with high expectation, not only the performance, I expected for my aim :D. So here it is, what was that.

We have some projects for our final examination (welcome to the mass communication major). One of em is making news shows. We've been looking for 4 hard news (that have value of course) and 2 soft news, also the talkshow *sigh*. I decided to make this event, AJ Rafael Concert Tour, as our feature news (soft news).

Hard way to be gone through. I only can contact their management by twitter and hardly waiting the confirmation. First, I sent a tweet to AJ Rafael.

Me: "hello @ajRAFAEL, im really interested to interview u if u have a time. may i interview u after ur show in jakarta? im a student @STIKOMLSPR"


Then, no respond. Okay, I know that Aj's fans already sent a lot, hmm, a bulk tweets to him. Small possibility for my tweet to be read. I hadn't given up! I tried to figure out who is their manager, and tratata... Christina Luna is the manager. I sent a tweet to her and it took a lil bit time to wait the confirmation. You may see this.


Me: "hi @christinaluna, im maria from jakarta,, im really excited to have a time to interview aj... if I may... im a college student a coll stdnt"(bad words to be written, sucks grammar!)
Christina L. :"@03BMAI let me see if we can work it out."
Me : "@christinaluna okay, thank you... just a few questions... :)"

Then no more reply. :'(
At least there was a leak that could lead me to the light (whoa, hyperball). I was excited though Christina replied with a 50:50 chance.

The Day!
I tried to talk to crew of EO, called it Mr. R. He gave me a permission to take and record during AJ's performance. Thank God :) I also asked him about to interview AJ. Then he answered that they are not really sure to give THOUGH IT IS A LIL BIT TIME to interview. I have said, it is only 5 minutes will be taken. Or it could be less than 5 minutes after meet n greet. Because the feature news only take 2 minutes session. He said, please confirm back to him.

I am AJ Rafael fan. I bought the ticket and I owe my sister. I gave a lot time. I brought my camera inside my backpack. I came there after I finished my preparation class for City and Guilds Examination. Full of hope though it was rain. I didnt bring any head cover or even umbrella. I just caught up there with my HIGH EXPECTATION to interview AJ Rafael.

Okay, skiiiiippp! I didn't really enjoy during the performance. I confessed it, the performance was so great, but I was on duty during they were playing on the stage.

After the performance, I tried to contact Mr. R to interview AJ Rafael and hardly to breath, the crew and the band, also AJ were taking a rest. Okay, I should interview some of the audience about this concert tour, I made a "stand up" with my sister help (very nice of her).

Skiiipp, after meet and greet I met Mr R then he said we cant work it out. WTH! I almost wanted to cry with the answer. I wanted to cry just on the spot. Feel so envy with the other audience that have the AJ and the band's signature, hugging them, and small talk. I only took less picture and more records! Sacrificing anything that I can do, the result was big zerooo!

I tried to make my self happy. I came to in front of the transparent door where AJ Rafael and the band + Krissy and Ericka (youtube star from Philippine) were. They were only there, after AJ and friends posed to the audience who wanted to take their pic back under the transparent door, less audience took more picture after AJ posed too much and made em laugh. I took my camera and wave my hands to Krissy and Ericka, and they looked at my camera they posed! OMG, that was so great feeling. They were really appreciate me. After that, AJ and friends came back to the private room. When they were exiting I tried to take many photos and 1 of those photos really make me feel soooo great. At least this is I called  it solace! Danny Morledge, the drummer, I watched him and he looks like Cameron Mirchell somehow :). When he were walking out to the private room, I called him, "Danny" and he posed, looked at my camera, waving his hand! Great feeling.

I am not a real journalist, because I am in the process to get there. I am trying to be it. THis is my way and I realized that newbie journalist or even journalist is not really respected and appreciated by some parties. This is what I am going to do for future. I just want to say, someday you are gonna meet me as a journalist, undercover the media that I hold! I am going to interview band or prestige people 4 eyes. Please be respected to journalist, they try to bring news to all of people. Be greatful because they are willing to serve you news everyday with their passion and the already willing give most of their time....

I am gonna interview famous band(s), me as a journalist, undercover the media.
